Elmont in particular
What is different about the trip from Elmont
Elmont approaches from the west on Hempstead Turnpike (NY 24), so the turn onto Franklin Avenue is a right — the mirror of the West Hempstead approach.
The NICE n6 and n6X run the length of Hempstead Turnpike through Elmont; the nearest stop to the shop is Hempstead Turnpike & Randolph Avenue, about 0.36 mi away.
The n1 also stops at Elmont Road & Hempstead Turnpike but runs the Hewlett/Valley Stream axis, away from the shop.
South Elmont has a second approach that avoids the Turnpike entirely: Dutch Broadway east, onto Corona Avenue, then north on Franklin Avenue.
Elmont–UBS Arena, Elmont's own LIRR station, is 2.6 miles west of the shop and points away from it.
East along Hempstead Turnpike, then right onto Franklin Avenue. From South Elmont there is a second way that avoids the Turnpike: Dutch Broadway east, onto Corona Avenue, then north on Franklin Avenue.
